Jill AND Mary

Jillian Hernnessy (born November 25 in 1968) is an Canadian artist, actress and vocalist who made an impact on American television. Her fame is due to her outstanding performances on the American TV series Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons playing prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan wherein she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy showed her talent in films that were independent, such as Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. Hennessy's acting career began in 1988, when she and her sister acted as twin characters in Dead Ringers. In the year 1990, she made an appearance as a guest on Broadway as Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. Then, she moved into science-fiction and was the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus (RoboCop 3) in 1993. In the fall of that year, she joined the cast for the NBC hit crime drama Law & Order in the part of the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. In these roles, she received the Golden Globe Award in 2006 and an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker was awarded the 2001 Tony Award as Best Actress for the Broadway production Proof.
